We are situated about 9km from Kandersteg in the beautiful, secluded Gastern valley. Christian and Ann Künzi-Adcock with their daughter Carolyn run this friendly family hotel. Ann grew up in England so English speaking guests are especially welcome.
We will start the summer season from the 17th of May 2025. We look forward to welcoming you!

Restaurant
Our Restaurant can seat about 35 people. On cool evenings and during bad weather the open fire blazes away.
Our evening menu includes typical Swiss dishes such as „Alpine Macaroni“, Fondue, Käseschnitte, mountain cheese and cold meats. We recommend a table reservation.
During the day (11.30 – 14.00) we offer a shorter menu including fresh salads, our famous „Alpine Macaroni“, homemade vegetable soup and various sausages with chips, etc.
About us
The Künzi family has been welcoming guests to the tiny hamlet of Selden in the Gastern valley since 1914 when they built their first small restaurant. In those days it was called the „Schwizerhüsli“.
